Creating and Managing Leagues
Part 1: On the Website
In order to play the game, the first thing you must do is create or join a league. To create a league, go to Leagues and press the "Create League" button. To join a league, you must receive an invite from a league's commissioner. Once you are in a league, click on the league tab on the Leagues page to open it. From there you can see the league's owner, all coaches in the league, and all challenges organized by Current Season and Past Seasons. Clicking on a challenge will open that challenge's Challenge Hub.
Along the top of the Leagues page, you'll also find quick-action buttons:
- League Settings: Configure your league (commissioners only).
- Invite Coaches: Send invites to new coaches.
- View Invites: See pending invitations you've received.
- Leave League: Remove yourself from the league.
League Settings
The League Settings page is accessible to the league's owner and any co-commissioners. It contains four tabs:
- Name & Delete League: Change your league's name or permanently delete the league (owner only for delete).
- Create & Delete Challenges: Create new challenges for upcoming Survivor seasons or delete existing ones.
- Remove Coaches: Remove coaches from your league.
- Manage Ownership: Promote league members to co-commissioner (granting them most owner privileges except deleting the league or transferring ownership) and transfer league ownership to another coach.
Challenge Hub
The Challenge Hub is the central page for a specific challenge. Here you can see all participating coaches, every tribe in the challenge (with their last episode scores), and the overall standings table showing placement, total score, and castaways remaining.
Along the top of the Challenge Hub, commissioners will find buttons for:
- Challenge Settings: Configure the challenge's rules and scoring.
- Challenge Management: Manage participation, draft picks, edgic and finale picks, and wagers.
- Manual Draft: Manually set each tribe's roster.
- Live Draft: Open the Live Draft Dashboard to host a real-time draft.
Two additional buttons appear conditionally:
- Pick Your Tribe: Visible to all coaches when the commissioner has enabled Self Draft in Challenge Settings. Each coach uses this to pick their own tribe at their own pace—no host-run draft required.
- Leave Challenge: Visible to non-owner coaches before the challenge has started. After the start episode airs, leaving is no longer allowed.
Challenge Settings
The Challenge Settings page lets the commissioner fine-tune the rules for a challenge. The header has three controls:
- Templates: Save the current challenge settings as a reusable preset, or apply a saved preset to this challenge in one click. Each user can save up to 5 templates.
- Edit / View toggle: Switch between editing and a read-only summary view of the current settings.
- Back to Challenge: Return to the Challenge Hub.
The page is organized into seven tabs:
- Team Configuration: Number of MVP slots (default 2, range 0–4), number of draft picks per coach (default 4, range 0–8), and the Exiling toggle. When Exiling is on (default), a coach's last draft pick scores zero each week but can be swapped active. When off, all draft picks are active.
- Start Episode: Choose the earliest episode that counts for this challenge. The minimum is always the next upcoming episode.
- Wagering: Control whether wagering is allowed, with separate cutoffs for elimination and immunity wagers (None or Final 6–13), separate odds for each type, and a minimum and (optional) maximum wager amount per type. Site defaults: last episode is Final 6 for both, elimination odds +100, immunity odds -200, minimum wager 1, no maximum.
- Grenade Rule: Penalizes tribes that draft the first eliminated castaway. Configure whether the rule is active, the penalty type (Auto-Loss or Point Loss with configurable points), the Exiled Dodge toggle, six possible defusal conditions (Winner on tribe / Any jury vote / Any finalist / Edgic correct / Finale correct / Both Edgic AND Finale correct), the optional Defusal Reward (bonus points if a condition defuses your grenade), and the optional Paid Defusal hedge-bet (commit a cost in advance before a deadline to lock in defusal).
- Self Draft: When enabled, each coach picks their own tribe via a "Pick Your Tribe" button—no live or host-run draft required.
- Tribe Swap: Allow or disable tribe swap proposals, allow or block swapping eliminated castaways, and set the last-allowed cutoff (None or Final 6–13). Default: enabled, eliminated castaways excluded, cutoff at Final 6.
- Point Values: Customize the point value for any of the 28 scoring categories. Leave a field blank to use the site default. A "Reset to Defaults" button clears all overrides.
Most settings tabs lock automatically once the start episode has aired (Start Episode also locks when 5 or fewer castaways remain in the game).
Challenge Management
The Challenge Management page gives the commissioner control over the ongoing operations of a challenge. It has four tabs:
- Coach Participation: Determine which coaches in your league participate in this specific challenge. Add or remove coaches as needed—each coach's status is shown as "In Challenge" or "Not Added."
- Draft Pick Activity: Manage which draft picks are active versus exiled (benched) each episode. Select an episode from the dropdown, then swap players between active and exiled slots for each tribe. Submit all changes when done.
- Edgic & Finale Picks: Record each tribe's Edgic pick and Finale pick using the dropdown selectors. Save changes when complete.
- Weekly Wagers: Manage wagers for each episode. Select an episode, then for each tribe, choose a castaway, set the wager points, and save. Wagers open once the previous episode's scores are entered. Two wager types are available: Elimination and Immunity, each with their own odds.
Manual Draft
The Manual Draft page allows the commissioner to directly set each tribe's roster. The number of slots per tribe is driven by the challenge's Team Configuration. The default 2 MVP / 4 Pick setup with Exiling on shows two MVP slots, three active draft pick slots, and one exiled draft pick slot per tribe; other team configurations adjust accordingly. Use the dropdown selectors to assign castaways to each slot, then save your changes.
Tribe Swap
Coaches can propose, send, receive, and review tribe swaps from the Tribe Swap workspace. The page is organized into four tabs: Propose Swap (build and send a new offer), Sent Requests (cancel pending offers you sent), Received Requests (accept or decline offers others sent you), and History (your completed and rejected swaps). Pending proposals are automatically cancelled once the relevant episode airs.
- Website: Top sub-nav Tribe dropdown → Tribe Swaps.
- App: Challenge tab → My Tribe → Tribe Swap.
Live Draft
The Live Draft Dashboard is where commissioners set up and run a real-time draft. The draft order is displayed on the left side of the page. Along the top, commissioners have access to:
- Draft Settings: Configure draft rules and preferences.
- Schedule Draft: Set a date and time for the draft.
- Randomize Draft Order: Randomly assign the draft order for all coaches.
- Reset Draft: Clear all picks and start over.
- Set Auto Picks: Configure draft priority so that if you miss your draft, it auto picks the castaways you want.
- Join Lobby: Enter the live draft lobby when it's time to draft.
For more details on running a manual draft, see the How to Host a Draft page under How to Play in the navigation menu.
Part 2: On the App
