Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

What is Fantasy Tribes?

Fantasy Tribes is a Survivor-inspired fantasy game. Create or join a league, draft a tribe, set weekly lineups, make Edgic and Finale predictions, and climb the standings with smart strategy. It's also home to Fantasy Big Brother—flip between shows any time with the show switcher in the header.

How do I switch between Survivor and Big Brother?

Use the show switcher (the pill next to your profile in the header) to flip the entire site between Survivor and Big Brother. Your account and leagues carry across both shows.

How do I create or join a league?

Head to Leagues. Create a league to invite friends, or join via an invite link from a league owner. Leagues are shared across both shows.

What are public challenges?

Don't have a group to play with? Join a site-wide Public Challenge and compete against everyone.

Is Fantasy Tribes free?

Yes—playing is free. If you'd like to support development, you can donate here.

Fantasy Tribes (the main game)

How does the draft work?

Before the draft, pick 2 MVPs—they score double and can't be benched. Then draft 4 more castaways with your league in a snake draft to complete your tribe. Depending on your league's settings, you might run a live draft, a manual draft entered by the commissioner, or a self-draft where each coach picks their own tribe.

What are MVPs?

MVPs are two castaways you choose before the draft. They score double points and can't be benched. You can't draft your own MVPs in the regular draft.

When do lineups lock?

Lineups lock when the episode airs on the East Coast. You can set your lineup any time before that.

Can I make a Weekly Wager?

If your tribe's total points are positive going into the week, you may wager on who goes home next—double if correct, zero if not. Wagers must be submitted before the episode airs.

What are Tribe Swaps and how do they work?

Tribe Swaps let coaches trade castaways between coaches' tribes to reshape strategy mid-season. Trades must be value-balanced (1 MVP = 2 draft picks), and a tribe can never have more than 3 MVPs. You can't trade eliminated castaways, swaps are not allowed during episodes, and the swap window closes before the Final 7 episode. Check your tribe page for swap options and league-specific settings.

What are Edgic and Finale predictions?

They're season-long bonus picks. Predict the castaway with the strongest edit (Edgic) and your Finale winner for bonus points when you're right. See How to Calculate Edgic Rating for the details.

How does scoring work?

You win points for things like immunity, advantages, and correct votes; you lose points for votes against you and incorrect votes. MVPs score double. Full details live on the Rules page and the How to Play guides.

Tribal Survival

What is Tribal Survival, and how do I play?

Tribal Survival is our weekly picks game. Each round, as a coach, choose your picks on the Lineup page, then follow progress on Leaderboard and dive deeper with Statistics. You can also reach these pages by clicking the Tribal Survival logo in the top-left.

What if I miss a week in Tribal Survival or join late?

If you haven't used your one-time skip yet, missing a week will automatically use it—so you won't take a loss that round. After your skip is used, missed rounds count as losses. If you join mid-season, the same rule applies: your skip offsets one missed round; the rest are recorded as losses.
